My name is Evan Vandersluys. I am a 2009 graduate of the Interactive Design Program at Capilano University in North Vancouver, BC. Canada. I am currently working as a freelance web designer and developer.
I am very much a front end interface designer at heart. Strong in HTML & CSS to create interesting website layouts. Lately I have been exploring using content managements systems such as Joomla!, MODXCMS and Wordpress to design websites.
This online portfolio encompasses what I have learned over the past two years through this program. I'm still actively learning and currently seeking employment as freelance, or as a contract or permanent position with a company that works in interactive deisgn.

Recent Projects
Namaste Bodywork Studio
I have been quite busy working full time and doing freelance projects when the time permits. A recent project was a website update for Andrea Turrell from Namaste Bodywork Studio in Nanaimo, BC. Although the site was live and functioning, Andrea wanted to add a few new features. Including some new text content, a gallery of images, a new domain name and a fresh look that followed the original feel of the site. We never met in person but I managed to update her site through our emails and phone conversations. Next time I am in Nanaimo I plan to visit her studio to see it for myself!
